Synchronization Algorithms for OFDM Systems, sierpień 2008 r. : The objective in this book is to analyze
synchronization algorithms for OFDM systems using the
example of the standard IEEE802.11a (WLAN). The basic
principles for OFDM systems are described and an
overview on the recent technologies is given.
Impairments that may occur in a digital transmission
are explained such as time, frequency and phase
errors and their consequences are discussed in
detail. The state-of-the-art synchronization
techniques for the time domain are summarized,
whereas the implementation aspects are always taken
into account. A developed environment is described,
which has been written in the language SystemC to
simulate a transmission system with fixed-point
representation. Furthermore, the implemented
synchronization algorithm is explained in detail and
the results are shown.
